Nigh volunteer passes…
The Volunteer pre-sale laissez passer you earn is good for you ONLY. Volunteer shopping times are determined past the option you choose and the number of shifts you work. This is our "thank you" for the piece of work you lot do and the time you donate. No actual "Pass" is required. Your name volition be on a list at the door at the shopping time for which you authorize.
Volunteer Policies

Volunteers who are scheduled to work and neglect to prove up for their scheduled shift will not be allowed to volunteer with HWGA in the future unless a valid excuse is provided.

All volunteers are required to bank check in for their scheduled shift.

Every bit a volunteer, you must check-in 15 minutes Earlier your shift begins to receive instructions. Many shifts volition have a get-go time listed as fifteen minutes before the actual shift begins. We do this in the hopes that you will really arrive on time, (xv minutes before the shift) so that you can be oriented as to the tasks being assigned and then nosotros do not have gaps in coverage equally our morning shift people will exist leaving correct on the hr, and if we open at 10 am, we need you there before 10 to get you signed in and in your assigned position. These extra 15 minutes DO NOT count towards your total hours.

Yous may select a 2-hour shift if it suits your schedule, but y'all must volunteer for 4-hours in order to qualify for the pre-sale.
Volunteer Chore Descriptions
Volunteer tasks are very easy, merely most require standing for the elapsing of the shift. If you have a disability that might prevent you from performing some tasks, please just let us know. We will practise our best to accommodate. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
You lot Proper noun It
If yous accept a special skill in advertising or PR this is the shift for you. Contact Karen directly and she will arrange for yous to help with a diverseness of tasks related to promoting the auction. This could include but volition not be limited to, flier distribution, blogging, getting sale sponsors, providing a meal, or assisting with our social media entrada. Hours logged will go toward a pre-sale laissez passer!
Ready-Up Volunteers
Exist prepared for some lifting or volunteer your man to help! Volunteers will be setting up racks, tables, signage and more to go gear up for the sale. Vesture comfy shoes. The set-up time is:
- Midweek, March 1st – 9:00am-1:00pm
Inspection Volunteers
Will need some volunteers who accept a good eye for spotting stains, tears, missing buttons and missing pieces. Remember, we want to keep our standards high…would yous purchase it? Y'all may also be running things out on the floor to put them on the racks and/or tables, organizing things on the floor and moving furniture/baby items. Please wear comfortable article of clothing and shoes.

Public Sale
Volunteers will exist running check-out areas, bagging merchandise and assisting shoppers in diverse needs. Volunteers volition also be monitoring the sales floor for items out of place, and sale security. Note: Some positions require a lot of continuing/walking while others may be completed while sitting. Delight permit us know if y'all accept special needs then we may assign a job that works best for you. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
Sorting/Breakup/Pick-up Volunteers
This is our highest need position. Volunteers will pause downward the sale and sort consignor merchandise. Sorters are responsible for gathering and preparing consignors' merchandise for pick-up. Volunteers may also assist sellers in locating their unsold items and cheque to make certain that the items they have are theirs. Volunteers will also break downwards the racks, signage and other sale equipment.
- Saturday, March 26th – iii:00pm-7:00pm

"Gardening Guru" Volunteer: Work 12 hours, (4 hours at the Charity pre-sale, and eight hours dissever between fix-up and break-downward, and you volition take your ain individual pre-sale!

Break-down Volunteers: we will demand as many volunteers as possible for this shift. The incentive is you lot are only working eight hours but earn a 12-hour pre-sale pass. Your delivery gives you this great shopping opportunity.

Create your ain Volunteer Schedule:You can create your own volunteer schedule with u.s.a.! Cull 16+ hours of volunteer shifts and shop FIRST!! These volunteers will shop the same time as our Gardening Gurus.
Choose from our available shifts throughout the auction. Jobs volition range from set-upward, merchandise placement and inspection, assisting customers, general sales floor presentation, and breakdown. Sign in to your account, and follow the links to the volunteer registration sign-upwardly. Cull every bit many shifts as you'd like, depending on how early you lot desire to shop on the volunteer pre-auction evenings.
